Established in 1923, the City of Lompoc's electricity department serves nearly 15,000 customers in the Central Coast region of California. As a public power utility, the utility is able to offer commercial and industrial electrical rates that are already at least a third lower than PG&E and SCE.
Lompoc is located along the coast of Central California, between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Due to the natural beauty of the Lompoc Valley and its flower industry, the City of Lompoc is dubbed "The City of Arts and Flowers".
