Since 1923, The Turlock Irrigation District (TID) has been providing safe, reliable electricity to a growing customer base that today numbers in excess of 98,000 home, farm, business, industrial and municipal accounts. TID's electric service area encompasses 662 square miles in Stanislaus, Merced, Mariposa and Tuolumne counties.

TID is also an independent control area and is governed by an elected five member Board of Directors.
